Talent Prep Hunter College High School (HCHS) Exam curriculum is designed to familiarize students with the concept of the exam and eventually achieve their desired goal in the actual test. In Talent Prep HCHS Exam prep you can expect:

Tuition Rates & Schedule
Small Group Class: $1080, including materials. Program runs from 12/7/2024 to 1/18/2025. No Class on 12/28.
*$200 non-refundable reservation fee per child. Reservation fee will count toward full tuition.
1-on-1 Private Class: $145/hour, including materials.

Hunter College High School Exam Eligibility Requirements
For students with state exam scores:
5th graders who took the NYS ELA and Math exams must meet the following minimum scores to be eligible to take the Hunter test as 6th graders on January 24, 2025:

NYS 5th grade ELA: 474 or higher

NYS 5th grade Math: 496 or higher
For students without state exam scores:
Students who did not take the state exams can still qualify if they took a comparable test measuring ELA and Math skills in the 5th grade. Examples of acceptable tests include:

ERB Comprehensive Testing Program 5 (CTP 5): 90% or higher in ELA and Math

Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS): 90% or higher in ELA and Math

NWEA Map: 90% or higher in ELA and Math

Stanford 10 Achievement Test: 90% or higher

TerraNova 3: 90% or higher

ISEE (Independent School Entrance Exam): A minimum stanine score of 8 in both Reading Comprehension and Mathematics Achievement

2025 Spring Hunter High School Admission Test
(for G5 students only)
Students need to achieve a minimum score of 465 in ELA and a minimum score of 488 in math in the 5th grade New York State Exams to become ELIGIBLE to take the Hunter High School admission test. For the 5th graders who are aiming at Hunter High School, Talent Prep offers the prep course to help them achieve these requirements. Also, this course helps 5th graders start preparing for Hunter High School admission test at an early stage so students will have a higher chance to get into Hunter!

Small Group Class (5:1): $1975, including materials. Program runs from 2/1/2025 to 6/14/2025. No Class on 2/22, 3/29, 4/12, 4/19, 5/24
1-on-1 Private Class: $145/hr, including materials
*$200 non-refundable reservation fee per child. Reservation fee will count toward full tuition.
** Each student can have no more than 2 makeup sessions in each semester. Makeup session options are limited by availability.
