Common Questions About the Program

Q: Who will be benefited from this program?
A: ⁃ kindergarten students who are advanced in academics, looking for challenging learning content, or currently enrolled in the Gifted & Talented program.
⁃ 1st or 2nd graders who need more practice to consolidate their academic foundation.

     - 1st or 2nd graders who are going to apply for Gifted & Talented Programs.
⁃ Students who are preparing Independent School Entrance Exam - ISEE Primary 2/3.

Q: Does each session cover different learning materials?
A: The afternoon session will repeat the morning session on the same day but different contents will be covered on different days. Ex. Tuesday morning session is lesson 1 and Tuesday afternoon is also lesson 1. Wednesday morning and afternoon are both lesson 2 and Friday is lesson 3.

Q: My child is not able to participate 3 days a week. Is that okay?
A: Learning coherence and consistency are central to optimizing a young child’s learning results. We strongly recommend your child participates 3 days a week in the program. If your child’s schedule doesn’t work, we recommend he participates at least 2 days a week to ensure that he is able to follow the learning pace in the program.

Q: Is there any homework?
A: Your child may receive homework after class. Your child should spend no more than 20 minutes completing all the homework. If you sign up before/after care, your child will complete all the homework and extra practice during the before/after care hours. The before/after care rate is $20/hour.

Q: My friends and I want to create a Pod for our children. What should I do?

A: You are welcome to contact info@talentprep.org to submit your request. Talent Prep offers Center-based Pod class (3-5 students), Home-base Pod class (3+ students), and Zoom Pod class (2 students). Let us know which type of Pod class you need and the number of students (could be mixed-age group), we will get you back with the class rate.
